CYCLOPS Award

The CYCLOPS Award is organized each year as an honorary and funding distinction to individuals who, through their actions and work, have highlighted Drama. The sculpture was created for the Organization by the visual artist GiorgosTaksidis, originated from Drama, a graduate of the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The artist designed the award with the purpose of emphasizing distinctive local features that characterize the unique nature of the region of Drama and serve as its hallmarks.

Each year, the following prizes are awarded:

a) Three photography awards, to the winners of the Annual Photography Competition. The 1^st prize amounts to €3,000, the 2^nd prize amounts to €2,000, and the 3^rd prize amounts to €1,000.

b) The Innovative Farmer – Breeder Award for the region of Drama amounting to €4,000.

c) The Distinguished Scientist Award, for a scientist originating from the region of Drama, amounting to €4,000.
d) The Special Award
“Environment and Climate Change”,awarded to the winning director of the homonymous category of the Drama International Short Film Festival, amounting to €4,000.

Additional awards may be granted, on a case by case basis, without falling within the above categories.
