Having as one of its founding objectives the promotion of the photographic art, CYCLOPS NPO organizes each year a nationwide photography competition with diverse themes, always focused on the city and the wider region of Drama.
The annual photography competition of CYCLOPS NPO is open to amateur and professional photographers from all over Greece, with the terms of participation posted on the website of CYCLOPS. Its purpose is to highlight the natural beauty of Drama, to showcase its historical monuments, the character of its urban and, more broadly, urban structure and landscape, as well as to capture aspects of the life of its inhabitants. Over time, this material will form a valuable record of both documentary and aesthetic significance for the region, through the lens of the competing photographers.
By the conclusion of the competition and the collection of the submitted photos, the members of the Photography Committee grade individually, and the final score is determined cumulatively. The three photos with the highest ranking receive a monetary award.
