Shooting Range – Training Facility of Kalifytos, Drama

One of the founding objectives of CYCLOPS Non-Profit Organization is the support of the sport of shooting and its dissemination among young people.
The shooter Anna Korakaki, originated from Drama, won the gold medal in the 25m pistol and the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol at the Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro in 2016. She is the first Greek female athlete in the history of the Hellenic Olympic Teams to win two medals at the same Olympic Games Event.
As a supporter of her efforts, CYCLOPS Non-Profit Organization constructed a Shooting Range – Training Facility of international standards, with 10 lanes at 25 meters and 5 lanes at 50 meters, as well as an auxiliary-use facility, on its owned land at the Kalifytosfield in Drama.
The objective is to ensure the uninterrupted and comprehensive training of Anna Korakaki for the course of her distinguished career, as well as that of her brother, DionysisKorakakis, who follows the same sport with remarkable performances, and also to support children who wish to take their first steps in the sport of shooting.
In July 2019, CYCLOPS Non-Profit Organization granted the right of use of the Shooting Range – Training Facility for a period of two years to the Shooting Club “ORION Thessaloniki”, while the operating, security, and maintenance expenses of the facility are borne by CYCLOPS.
